Peanut Butter
I pity people who are allergic to peanuts.
Peanut butter is one of my favourite foods. My children love it and will eat it with a spoon if I let them. White bread slathered with peanut butter is a favourite snack in my household. I personally prefer it on toast with my folks' homemade jam.
My girlfriend now lives in Germany. She has the same affinity as me for peanut butter and jam. Unfortunately it is so unusual in Europe that whenever she actually finds good peanut butter and good jam, her husband cannot hide his disgust as he makes it for her and watches her eat it. It takes away from her ability to enjoy it. He would be perfect if only he loved peanut butter...
North Americans have been enjoying peanut butter since 1896. The average American teenager will have eaten 1500 peanut butter sandwiches by the time she finishes high school. PB&J is the well known acronym.
Because sometimes you just need a giant spoonful of peanut butter...
