Island Hopping
Opened in 1967, Centreville is an old-style amusement park located on Toronto's main island.
Its always sunny at Centreville. That is their slogan and it certainly applied to this past Sunday. It was gorgeous, clear, breezy, warm...a perfect summer day. The trip over on the ferry was an adventure and all six of us spent about six hours taking in the park's attractions.
The carousel dates from 1907 and the antique train provides a tour of the park. The baby enjoyed the wading pool and our older three loved the flume ride. Everyone enjoyed driving the antique cars. Pizza Pizza served up perfectly done cheese pizza, chicken fingers and fries all of which were delicious. And every hour or so we'd have to buy more juice to stay hydrated.
It was a great day.
