Basketball Greats

Having lost last night's basketball game 38 to 12, I am looking for inspiration.

Growing up I loved to watch Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen play basketball. They worked harder than everyone else and were better than everyone else. Jordan has said “If you do the work you get rewarded. There are no shortcuts in life.” Jordan was known to practice at home before team practices, and Pippen was known to come and join him at his home to practice. In the team practices, Jordan always wanted Pippen guarding him because he was the best defensive player on the team and Jordan wanted to challenge himself against the best.

After our loss last night, I told the other seven gals that each of us should ensure we sunk at least 100 baskets between then and next Monday night. Jordan said "I set another goal...a reasonable, manageable goal that I could realistically achieve if I worked hard enough. I approached everything step by step."

Hopefully if each of us sinks 100 baskets between now and next Monday, we'll score more baskets in our next game...because you cannot win games if you don't sink baskets.
