Summer Equinox was Thursday...perfect timing for the boys' Grade 6 graduation ceremony and party. Lots of light from morning to night... Now as I enjoy the first official weekend of summer, I wonder at the stories that will be written this summer, by me, by my husband, by my daughters, by my sons... Every summer has a story. Glorious June
June is my birth month so it is a sentimental favourite. Now that I have children, though, it is also a busy and joyful month because the weather is warm, the nights are long, the children are outside all the time playing with each other and friends, and everything seems a little happier and a little easier. Coins on the pavement
Would you stop to pick up a penny on the sidewalk? I would, of course. It gives you good luck all day long. What about a nickel...or a dime? Most people would definitely retrieve a loonie or toonie from the street. In the past two weeks, I have picked up three dimes and two nickels on the pavement.
