Candy, mommy, candy

Candy, mommy, candy.

I know my baby is growing up when I pull up in front of a gas station store and the first words out of her mouth are "candy, mommy, candy." "No candy baby." Yes candy." "No candy". "Yes, candy, mommy" in her pleading, beseeching voice.

Candy has been around for thousands of years. The first candy was likely created by the Egyptians when they combined honey with nuts. It has come a long way since then, as evidenced by any Hallowe'en bag of treats.

I can completely understand my baby's love of candy.
