Thunder Bay Rocks
Canada rocks...and Canada has some great rocks.
Our children have developed an interest in sedementary, igneous and metamorphic rocks and minerals. Their Scientist in the School program focused on that topic a month ago, and a school chum suggested they attend the Gem Show this weekend. We had a blast.
The vendors were generous to them, giving them small samples of amethyst and tiger eye. I bought one of my best friends a gorgeous Christmas gift, and the kids spent $15 each and came away with between seven and ten rocks each. The prettiest was an amethyst geode from Thunder Bay.
Canada rocks!
