Some studies show the average person gains five pounds between Hallowe'en and New Years Day.
Whether true or not, this is definitely the season of treats. The challenge is balancing off tasting all of those fabulous foods that no one makes for us any other time of the year with our desire to maintain our weight. The lack of significant physical activity in the winter does not help the cause.
So the question is, am I at all capable of only eating one shortbread cookie decorated with sprinkles...or do I need to try one of each type of shortbread cookie on offer? To be determined...
