My dad's family suffers from heart disease.
It is genetic. My paternal great grandfather died of a heart attack. My paternal grandpa died of a heart attack. My dad had a stent put in his heart at age 60. I am sure my brother and I will suffer from it as well. It runs in the family.
As a result, I am interested in what is heart healthy because whatever I can do to delay the onset of heart disease I should try to do. One piece of advice that is consistent throughout the literature is to try to exercise 30 minutes a day every day of your life.
Easy to conceptualize. Hard to implement and stick to. Every day I try. Some days I succeed.
