Canada Day
Canada was formed on July 1, 1867 when Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec agreed to form a dominion. Since then we have been celebrating Dominion Day, changed in name to Canada Day in 1982. It is Canada's birthday.
Our children are playing shinny in the morning then we'll go in search of a barbecue, some music, a fair and finally some fireworks. Should be a good birthday celebration.
