Canada's Day!
I feel extremely lucky to be Canadian. When I was growing up, there was a perception that being Canadian was second best to being American. No longer. Canada has truly come into its own as a country in the past 30 years. I am proud of our peaceful welcoming personality; I am proud of our tolerance within reason; I am proud of our humanity and compassion; I am proud of our business acumen; I am proud of our intelligence; I am proud of our practical common sense; I am proud o

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tales
That's what boys...and apparently also lots of girls...are made of. My crew along with their cousins celebrated Canada Day yesterday. Among the numerous activities they enjoyed together was creating a snail habitat. They had fun finding and bringing snails to this new home they created for them. Nine took up residence. I love how children make you slow down and enjoy the little things in life. Happy Canada Day all snails and citizens. #snipsandsnailsandpuppydogtails #that

Canada Day Jokes
I love jokes, lame or otherwise. Andrew McCammon shared his Canada Day joke with me yesterday: January: Is my car in that snowbank? February Ah - Florida March Why did I come back? Canada Day
Canada was formed on July 1, 1867 when Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec agreed to form a dominion. Since then we have been celebrating Dominion Day, changed in name to Canada Day in 1982. It is Canada's birthday. Our children are playing shinny in the morning then we'll go in search of a barbecue, some music, a fair and finally some fireworks. Should be a good birthday celebration. #canadaday #novascotia #newbrunswick #ontario #quebec #dominionday #canadasbir
